FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

What is your return policy?
As long as a book is in its original condition (meaning able to be resold), we will take it back. If you ship us your returns and they are in sellable condition, and include your order number, we will refund your credit card. If you have picked up your order in-store, simply bring back your books with your receipt.

What inventory is shown?
Our online inventory, like that of other online booksellers, is a mix of in-store stock and verified distributor stock.

What if a book is out of stock?
If a book that is in print is currently out of stock, or if a book is forthcoming, your search result will say "Special Order." This means we will try as best we can to get the book for you. We will order from the publisher if the book is in print and it is a publisher with whom we have an account. We will email you about these titles to let you know if we have been successful.

How long does an order take?
It varies. Because of Resistencia's 20+ years of experience with distributors, and the reliability of our online database, we are able to get nearly every book listed quickly.

Is the internet secure, and do I have to give my credit card number?
We use encryption to provide a secure internet transmission. Our computer system does not store any information about you. If you pick up your order in-store, the only information you have to give us is your name, telephone number, and email address! Credit card information is only required for orders to be shipped.

How will I be contacted?
If you are having your order shipped, you will receive an email when your credit card is charged, unless you request otherwise in the comments area of your order. If you will pick your order up in-store, we treat it as a regular store purchase and/or special order and will contact you via telephone.
